IAVE (International Association for Volunteer Effort) besteht um die Entwicklung von Freiwilligenarbeit weltweit zu fördern, stärken und feiern. 

A.V.E., der Europäische Freiwilligenverband, wurde 1972 auf Initiative von europäischen Freiwilligen aus 6 Ländern der Europäischen Gemeinschaft in Lyon gegründet.

ICVolunteers  ist eine internationale Freiwilligen-Non-Profit-Organisation die im Bereich der Kommunikation spezialisiert ist, insbesondere Sprachen, Kommunikationstechnologien und Konferenz-Unterstützung.

CEPS (Centre for Philanthropy Studies) bietet Hochschulforschung und Berufsbildung auf Stiftungen, Non-Profit-Organisationen (NPO) und Philanthropie an. 

CEV, das Europäische Freiwilligenzentrum, ist ein europäisches Netzwerk von über 80 vor allem nationalen und regionalen Freiwilligenzentren und Freiwilligenentwicklungsagenturen in Europa. CEV kanalisiert die kollektiven Prioritäten und Anliegen seiner Mitgliedsorganisationen zu den Institutionen der Europäischen Union.
